Chris is a Senior Associate at Haptic, having joined the London office in 2012. His design approach is intrinsically collaborative, treating each project as a creative relationship driven by teamwork and clear communication. Chris is keenly interested in designing egalitarian and environmentally regenerative places that are rooted in their context.

Chris is a qualified architect with extensive experience across all stages of design, from initial feasibilities through to built completion. Recently he has led schemes for new social housing in Greenwich, infill estate housing in Southwark, Sutton College’s new high street campus, and the Hayes Hotel & Incubator – a major industrial co-location project in west London. Chris has served as project architect for several mixed-use residential-led schemes, namely at Television Centre, Dersingham Road and the competition winning design for the W3 Community Centre. He also holds significant expertise in transport expertise, serving as assistant-lead for the Landside and Interiors packages for Noida International Airport.

Chris helps coordinate much of the practice’s project acquisition efforts, both in the UK and internationally, and takes an active role in managing the practice’s Quality Assurance system. Currently he is building his own house, designed with an exposed mass timber structure to the Passivhaus standard.
