Johan joined Haptic Architects in June 2019. He previously worked at Henning Larsen and Avinor, where he gained extensive knowledge in a variety of projects from tiny living to large scale. Projects included the largest collocation of a veterinary institute and college, with eight interconnected buildings in Ås, Norway.
Johan’s main interest lies within conservation and transformation. He believes that developments that prioritise reuse and respect existing site qualities give more aesthetically, historically, and environmentally pleasing results in city-making. His skills in balancing those complex factors are evidenced in his work on Oslo’s most significant transformation projects; the Norwegian Government Headquarters.
