fred@hapticarchitects.comFred joined Haptic’s London office in June 2025, having recently graduated from Liverpool University where he completed his Part 1, winning the John Rankin Award for his research into food as a tool to engage with and empower communities. His goal is to build social value through architecture, ultimately helping to shape a better future through thoughtful, peoplecentric, and sustainable design. His approach aims to create spaces that are purposeful and uplifting, while rigorously exploring the nuances of the people, place, and history of each project.
Having previously worked at Turner Works and Jaz Bhalla, Fred has experience assisting on projects at a variety of scales, from furniture design and upcycling to larger projects such as Athens International Airport, which he is currently working on with the Haptic team. He has also contributed to projects at a masterplanning and urban design scale, notably a research project interrogating the success of town centres.
Outside of architecture, Fred is a passionate cook. He organises supper clubs, where he cooks for large groups, both in the UK and abroad. Fred has been enjoying testing his recipes on the Haptic team at our studio lunches.
