Sam is a Senior Architect who joined the practice in 2022. His interests lie in finding the unique stories surrounding communities and using these to achieve an architecture which engages the senses, and aspires to create a sense of wonder. Sam’s key involvement at Haptic has been within two major projects; the Oslo Fjordarium, and leading the envelope package on Athens International Airport. He is particularly interested in integrating and enhancing users’ experiences and relationships with the natural environment.

Sam completed his Masters studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture, London and following this obtained experience across a wide range of sectors and project stages, previously working at Tonkin Liu leading the transformation of Grosvenor Square Gardens, as well as working on York Minster Stone Mason’s Center of Excellence and a number of standalone residential projects. Prior to this, he worked in Hong Kong at Snøhetta notably in the mixed commercial sector, with a key role in the delivery of Airside Towers and podium in Kai Tak and associated footbridge, as well as the competition winning scheme for Shanghai Grand Opera House. While working at WilkinsonEyre for several years in Hong Kong and London he worked on a number of footbridges primarily Hong Kong International Airport Connector, and Toronto Eaton Square Bridge, as well as large scale cultural buildings such as Henquin Eco Biome and Masterplan.
