Ole Jacob is a Senior Architect at Haptic’s Oslo studio. He has extensive experience working in large interdisciplinary teams, and is skilled at working across project scales – from small pavilions to large-scale public building. Ole Jacob has a keen interest in projects focused on transformation and rehabilitation of existing buildings, and values collaboration with experts in the field of cultural heritage.

He is currently working on Athens International Airport, specifically on the refurbishment of the existing MTB as well as an area lead for the Eastern Balcony extension. For many years prior to his engagement on this project, he worked on the sensitive restoration of the original main building (commonly known as “Høyblokken”) by Erling Viksjø in the New Government Headquarters in Oslo. Both of these projects compliment Haptic’s focus on reuse and reinvention.

In addition to his involvement in refurbishment projects, Ole Jacob has been involved in a number of other Haptic projects such as feasibility studies on Oslo Airport City and Moss Rock City, as well as several of the new buildings in RKV. He has also had a central role in the development of a multi-purpose sports hall for Tårnkvartalet, designed with an exposed mass timber structure.

Ole Jacob completed his MArch in 2017, graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) in Copenhagen.
