Joana Pinheiro joined Haptic in 2022 and is currently working on Oslo Airport City, before joining the Oslo Government Headquarters team this summer. Prior to joining Haptic, Joana has worked on projects at Oslo and Bergen airports, with a new building for the Mattilsynet -Veterinær Grensekontrollstasjon at Gardermoen and the refurbishment of Terminal 2 at Flesland.  She has also delivered renovations for office buildings such as Orkla Atrium and E. Saarinen’s American Embassy, in Oslo. Her experience extends to urban planning with masterplanning projects at Sandvika and Fredrikstad, alongside feasibility studies for the NMBU University program in Ås Campus.

Joana was previously a partner at a “joint-venture” office in Madrid, working for the regional government on a park project. She has significant experience from residential projects in Portugal, having also worked with P. Mendes da Rocha, Brazil, including housing for the new development of Vallecas in Madrid. Joana has a solid analytical and theoretical approach developed through a Doctorate in Architectural design and lectures on future urban development in Portugal.
