Nelly joined Haptic’s London office in May 2025. She is involved with Haptic’s publicity, maintaining key relationships with press and the wider architecture media industry. Nelly assists with internal and external communications across the three offices, along with the day to day running of the London studio.

Nelly has a BA(Hons) from The University of Edinburgh where she was the first student to combine a philosophy degree with studio architecture and architectural theory and history, graduating with a first class Scottish Masters in June 2024. She has previously worked as an architectural design assistant for several smaller practices, and as a studio assistant for Turner Prize winner Martin Boyce. Her interests lie in architectural theory: the urban crowd and its relationship to the city. She has written for various architectural publications and splits her week between Haptic and Architecture Today where she is an editorial assistant running the Reinventing Practice feature which spotlights regenerative architecture across the UK.

Outside of work, Nelly has recently received grant funding from Islington Council to design and build a timber table tennis table for children with special educational needs.
