Emma is a Senior Architect who joined Haptic in August 2025. She specialises in housing and is particularly interested in how well-designed homes, and the careful improvement of existing ones, can support thriving communities and a lower-carbon future. Prior to joining Haptic, she worked at Archio, where she led a number of housing and community-led projects. At Haptic, she is currently working on a range of residential and masterplanning projects.

Emma is trained in domestic retrofit, holding a Level 3 award in Introduction to Domestic Retrofit and recent qualifications as a Domestic Energy Assessor and Retrofit Assessor. This gives her a strong understanding of building performance and energy efficiency across new-build and refurbishment work.

Alongside practice, Emma has a strong interest in architectural education. She has taught at Ravensbourne and Westminster Universities, and is an examiner for the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction. She enjoys the exchange that comes with teaching, both sharing her knowledge and learning from emerging built environment professionals.
