Scott specialises in the early stage and concept design of complex public and cultural buildings. As Design Director, Scott has led several of the studio’s key projects, including Tårnkvartalet, Moss Havn, Grenseveien 107, Straume Student Housing, Fyrtårnet, Wenli Lake and the Oslo Regenerative HighRise. His work typically demonstrates a thoughtful balance between practical considerations and bold design statements, with careful attention to detail across all phases of the design process.

Based in Haptic’s Oslo studio, Scott leads in architectural design, specialising in the conceptual design of new commissions, and leading competition design entries. He has led the design of Haptic’s successful entries for the new urban plan for Indre Laksevåg harbour area in Bergen, Hjertlia housing area in Hønefoss, the Follo Museum in Drøbak and the new Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, China.

Previously he was Architectural Director at NSW Arkitektur, where he designed several prominent new projects in Norway – notably the competition winning Vestland county offices in Bergen, and the redevelopment of the Sterudkvartalet historic urban area in central Moss.

Prior to moving to Norway in 2016, Scott worked in Haptic’s London office where he worked on several UK and International projects, including the design phase of Rosemoor Studios in Kensington & Chelsea, London, and large-scale international airports in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, and Marseille, France. Before joining Haptic in 2015 he gained international experience working in China and Spain.
