Lucia Berasaluce is a Senior Associate, working from Bilbao. She joined the practice in 2017 and has worked previously at the London and Oslo studios.

She is forever curious, creative and a problem solver. These skills have led her to work in different countries, developing medium-scale projects from concept to delivery, across residential, commercial and cultural sectors. This experience gives Lucia a particular ability to translate solutions across cultures, building types and stages. She is a strong team player, which reinforces Haptic’s belief in collaboration to extract the most from every project. Her attention to detail and interest in craftmanship connects Lucia with the sense of touch that defines Haptic.

Lucia’s technical knowledge and design sensibility has seen her lead projects, where making people happy is key. In the UK, she is leading W3; a community centre for Argent at Kings Cross; championing sustainable design with timber structure and envelope. In the cultural sector, she is leading The One:One Collection in Margate, refurbishing a series of industrial buildings to provide a new locomotive museum experience. In the residential sector, she is overseeing the Haptic RTD4 team to deliver new affordable homes for Southwark. In Norway, she has been part of the OAC team, developing a multi-purpose hospitality centre and has coordinated B8A residential scheme in Oslo.
