Haptic Shortlisted for Yangtze River Delta International Sailing Hub

We have been shortlisted for an invited international competition by Shanghai Yatch Club for the Yangtze River Delta International Sailing Hub; a project which will build on Haptic’s growing portfolio of waterside developments. Our sensory-rich approach to design is ideally suited to these environments, where the interplay of light, reflection, and materiality is key.

Located near Shanghai and the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao on the banks of Lake Dianshan, the highly ambitious development of 180,000m² is a pioneering waterside project for China.

The development will include world class water sports venues, cultural institutions, a sailing school, higher education institutions and an innovation district including an electric-ship yard. Once completed, the project will represent an example of how to bring these various uses together as part of Shanghai’s emerging water-based economy.
