Haptic at UK Creative Festival

Scott Grady and Agnieszka Glowacka have taken part in the annual UK Creative Festival in Margate, which brings together creative professionals and young people looking for creative careers.

Scott led a workshop for young people interested in a career in Architecture, exploring routes into the profession and different types of practice, and also took part in a speed mentoring event to help young people kick-start their creative journeys.

We heard from actor, writer, podcaster and art collector Russell Tovey and co-founder of WeTransfer Damian Bradfield, discussing creative brand collaborations to bring art to a wider audience. Fascinating to hear about how WeTransfer supports emerging artists by showcasing their work on their landing page and supports projects such as Russell Tovey’s celebration of Derek Jarman’s “Blue”.

We enjoyed Nick Cannons, founder of creative agency Esse Agency giving a workshop on harnessing serendipity in creativity and urged us all to become ‘serendipidists’.

For Haptic serendipity was at the core of our experience of the festival, with chance encounters with creatives outside our own network that will hopefully lead to unexpected future collaborations. Fittingly we ended the first day of the festival with a mind-soothing outdoor Sound Bath led by Kent Mathews.

Thank you Jeremy Green and Dina Green for inspiring us!
