Dersingham Road will comprise 9 residential units and a small commercial unit on the ground floor. The site is currently a brownfield site, located within the London Borough of Barnet and situated within the Cricklewood Regeneration Area.
The scheme offers a diverse housing typology and maximises the site providing two 1-bed flats, three 2-bed flats, one 3-bed flat with a large roof terrace and three 3-bed duplex mews flats with their own private gardens. A three-storey mass is proposed, with north and south set-backs to the second-floor level to maximise daylight and avoid overlooking.
A simple material palette comprising red brick and dark grey metalwork balustrades and window frames is proposed to compliment the neighbouring buildings and local area. In several areas of the façade, portions of the red brickwork are proposed in a hit-and-miss pattern, acting as a decorative element as well as a screening to prevent overlooking to neighbouring gardens.
