Laura joined Haptic as Business Development Manager in September 2021. Working closely with Directors and Associate Directors Laura co-ordinates new work and relationships for the company. She looks to develop strategic partnerships and opportunities for projects in the UK and internationally.
She believes happiness in architecture comes from strong collaborations in the design team and with clients – that happy and successful places should create a sense of ownership for the people using them. Laura has a particular interest in how community groups, young people and families can engage with the design process.
As Business Development Manager, Laura supports networking and events for the practice to meet new clients and collaborators and is always happy to talk business opportunities.
Laura is from the North East of England and studied architecture to BArch level at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow. She has over 15 years’ experience of working in architectural institutions on local, national and international programmes. She has worked at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) and the British Council.
