Arctic Circle Airport
Green Light by Parliament
The Norwegian parliament has decided to go ahead with plans to build the first new airport in Norway for 40 years. The airport is the gateway to the Helgeland region, a business and tourist destination.
Haptic, in collaboration with Nordic produced the sketch proposal for the landside and terminal area for domestic and international air traffic. Inspired by the Træna Mountains, the roof design reflects the surrounding natural beauty of the Helgeland Coast and creates dramatic internal spaces within the terminal building.
