Haptic appointed to design airport in Norway

Haptic, in collaboration with Nordic – Office of Architecture, have been appointed to design a new airport in Mo i Rana in Norway by the Norwegian airport authority, Avinor. The appointment follows on from an initial feasibility study carried out by the team in 2010.

The airport, located on the west coast of Norway, will provide a gateway to the region. The area is a prime location to see the midnight sun and the famous northern lights and will attract tourists, as well as improving connections for the local community. The project incorporates a new terminal building, airport control tower, service buildings and various associated buildings and structures.
